Heart and mouth on the same page!
Scripture: “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight.” Psalm 19:14 NIV
Time for another reality check. You know what’s in your heart every moment of every day. And besides God, you’re the ONLY one.
But what kind of impact are you having on those around you daily? What would your family say? Your co-workers or classmates?
The even bigger question is this – would God be pleased with what comes out of our mouths? He knows our hearts… but do words match what’s in it?
An often overlooked part of a worship team is the public perception and image that, individually, we project. It’s not fair, but that image also gets projected onto the team each week. Yeah, it sucks to be out front!
If there’s a problem or a perception issue, we, as a team, will handle it and deal with it. It won’t impact our worship leading as a whole, but it will impact the individual.
“Be careful little ears what you hear… be careful little eyes what you see… for the Father up above is looking down with love, so be careful…”
God is watching, as are others who are curious. Welcome to leading!
How was your speech today? Did it match what is in your heart for God? If not, what do you need to do about it?
